Another, an attractive young woman across the street who I would have given anything to date, was apparently rejected by the man she was in love with. She wondered why God was punishing her— what had she done to deserve that. I tried to convince her otherwise but at that time I hadn’t honed my philosophical powers :-). She did mow my lawn cheap though.
