It was around this time that I hired Sarah Carroll as a part-time assistant. Like the women I aspired to meet she was attractive, personable, and talented in her own right. While she admired me she wasn’t attracted to me romantically. Still we spent some enjoyable afternoons working and sometimes playing together. When I ran out of money I let her go.
