Another thing that might have hurt me in some ways but in other ways possibly helped me was my rich fantasy life— the regular means of going at love held little appeal to me. Rather I was fascinated with consensual power exchange, having a mental aspect, as in dominance/submission, but usually in combination with physical restraints— ropes, chains, etc.
