Odd angles and perspective can create a sense of foreboding. Add to this the incongruent loneliness of a street obviously built for heavy traffic, the high wall masking a chilly industrialism, the claustrophobic narrowness of the sidewalk, and the urgency of the alien trio, and you have a formula for a vision worth import to canvas.
